Amboseli Porini Camp

Amboseli Porini camp is situated within the Selenkay conservancy which lies a few miles north of Amboseli National Park and is seasonal. The area in which the camp is located is leased from the Maasai community who also receive an entry fee for each visitor. This is in the aim at conserving the wildlife in the conservancy and providing employment opportunities as a result, all roads have been constructed using local labor and game scouts are employed to carry out patrols in order to protect the wildlife.Amboseli Porini camp is closed down during the months of mid-April and May.

The tents at Amboseli Porini camp have solar powered lighting with the camp accommodating a maximum of eighteen guests at a time to retain the wild and un-spoilt nature of the area and to minimize the impact on the environment.
