Eutut Tented Camp, Lake Elementaita
Opened in 2009, Eutut Camp stands on a lava outcrop commanding stunning views over the private Soysambu Conservancy towards UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lake Elementeita. Eutut camp is managed by Mawe Mbili Limited. Nestled in leleshwa groves, the camp offers a choice of four ensuite tents, a straw-bale guesthouse or a part-tented hill-top retreat with roll-out star bed. The main house offers a welcoming lounge with panoramic dining terrace and intimate bar. The Eutut Tented Camp is powered entirely by solar electricity. The water is heated by sustainably harvested Leleshwa wood, gathered by Turkanas of the local community. The tents are roofed using traditional methods, locally sourced hay and local labour. The majority of the furniture is made from re-cycled cedar poles, once used for fencing on the colonial ranch. Eutut Tented Camp was formerly known as The Sleeping Warrior Camp.
