Makuti House is best suited for families as it mainly appeals as a family home and has masses of children’s toys and games. It also provides some outside play equipment including swings and a climbing frame. Makuti House also boasts of a pretty Petrea-clad, roof terrace, which is an ideal spot for sundowners at the end of the day. The house is staffed by an excellent cook, gardener and house-help to do all the hard work, relaxation is the only thing you have to think about during your stay at the Makuti House in Vipingo. For the fitness enthusiasts, there are bikes (both adult and children’s bikes) as well as tennis racquets, golf clubs and even a set of weights for use. To complete the family feel there is one resident dog, Lisa who is always happy to meet new people.
Makuti House Accommodation
Makuti house has four double bedrooms all opening onto a wide upstairs balcony, three have double beds and one has bunk beds. The largest room has an extra single bed, an additional sofa bed (plus a couple of hammocks on the balcony) therefore the house can easily accommodate 10 people. Makuti House also features a single large living space which combines a dining and living room and is decorated in traditional Swahili style. This space opens onto a wide balcony with views straight to the ocean. There is a separate TV room with a DVD, DSTV satellite connection. There is a pool bar on the shallow end of the pool and access to a sandy beach situated at 700 yards to the south.
