The Fatuma’s tower is set at the back of Shela village against the sand dunes. It is a place to relax, unwind and enjoy holidays, retreats and honey moons. It is accessible by air through the Manda airstrip located 15 minutes away and can also be located by road through the Mombasa Lamu road and a further 15 minute boat ride from Lamu Island. The destination is known for Yoga retreats, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, snorkeling and boat rides.
Fatuma’s Tower Accommodation
Fatuma’s tower has 10 double bedrooms that can sleep up to 20 people. The rooms are all furnished with local antiques and fabrics in a simple and elegant style to recreate the atmosphere of a fine Swahili house. Every room in Fatuma’s Tower is individually decorated and the cool, airy spaces retain an informal feel while the shaded balconies provide comfortable areas for avoiding too much sun. All rooms have solar powered hot water, fans and mosquito nets. Fatuma’s Tower has a spacious dining area that serves tropical fruits, fresh sea food, Italian and Swahili cuisine. It has a fully equipped kitchen located opposite the dining area.
Fatuma’s Tower has a large garden area that is used for outside events such as weddings, parties, cocktails, product launches and other events. There is also a conference room located close to the main entrance used for business meetings, seminars and conferences. The room is well equipped with flip charts, writing pad and pen and can seat up to 12 people at a time.
