Ngobit River Lodge
Ngobit River Lodge is situated along the Ngobit River in Laikipia, approximately one hour from Naru Moru town. The lodge is built on 50 acres of land sorrounded by dry forest. Originally built in the 1960’s, it has stunning views of Mt. Kenya and the Aberdares and has since been restored to match its original glory. The spacious Club facilities make it an ideal venue for groups while smaller parties will find Colobus House equally comfortable. The landscape is a combination of dry forest and relics of riverine forest trees with views of Mt. Kenya and the Aberdares. There is plenty to do at Ngobit River Lodge. Located in Laikipia, it is within close proximity of nearby conservancies and parks such as Ol Pajeta, Solio Ranch, Mt. Kenya and Aberdare National Parks etc. Guests can take game drives around these places. Other activities include walking safaris, birdwatching along the river, and nature walks.
Ngobit River Lodge Accommodation
Accommodation at Ngobit River Lodge is in 6 twin cottages, all ensuite. There is a central lounge, dining room and kitchen for guest use. The lodge is ideal for 12 people. Colobus House Colobus House is on the same property as Ngobit River Lodge. It is a self catering house with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and verandah. Like the lodge is it let out on self catering basis. Lighting is provided by a solar charged inverter, and water is also solar heated. The lodge is let out on self catering basis. There is a kitchen and gas is supplied. For lighting at night there is a generator but guests will be required to bring their own petrol to power it.
