In the heart of Kenya’s tea and coffee growing highlands is located the Outspan Hotel with beautiful manicured lawns, the ideal Place for a safari excursion to Arberdare and Kenya. Outspan hotel is set in a well-tended tropical garden and rolling lawns with views of Mount Kenya to the East and a short distance from the Aberdare National Park,while the famous Solio Ranch is just 25 kms away.The hotel was built in 1926 and was once home to Lord and Lady Baden Powell, founders of the Scout and Girl Guide movements. Their cottage Paxtu is now a museum that is open to our visitors, and to scouts and guides from all over the world.

Outspan hotel has a total guest rooms of 45; and are all fitted with satellite TV, telephones and tea/coffee making facilities. The rooms comprise of:14 Deluxe This is the modern wing with some rooms recently refurbished. Bathroom unit has shower and bathtub separately. 3 Deluxe Cottages. These have one main bedroom and a smaller one for a child and a sitting room. 28 standard rooms. Of which 19 have a fire place and 2 interconnecting rooms ideal for families.
The rooms at Outspan Golf and Country Club boast of are spacious and airy, most with fireplaces and garden access.

The Outspan Hotel has 3 meeting rooms and is spread out in different parts of the hotel. The hotel provides: Screen, TV and video, flipchart board and paper, writing pad and pens, morning and afternoon tea and coffee breaks, mineral water (1 ltr) and buffet lunch. Services supplied at a charge: LCD, PA system, use of business centre internet & email, photocopying, printing, telephone calls and photography. Internet connectivity is available in all conference rooms.
