Although eco-friendly, this intimate eco-lodge does not compromise on comfort. It is an ideal base from which to enjoy the real African wildlife experience in comfort and style. Kilima Camp Mara arranges game drives in 4×4 open-sided vehicles which depart early morning and late afternoon, to make best use of the light and animal movements, and full day game drives with a picnic in the Mara Triangle. From July to October, Kilima Camp is an ideal safari camp to witness the Great Migration where more than one million wildebeests and zebras cross the Mara River. Other activities that can be done here include; bush walks, hot air balloon safaris, visits to Masai Manyatta, archery, sundowners, bush School visit, bush meals and SPA: Maasai and Continental beauty Therapies and massages. Kilima means “mountain or little hill in Swahili”. Kilima Camp is situated on the edge of the Siria escarpment (also called Oloololo escarpment) at 1,800 metres above sea level, overlooking the Mara River The Mara River and the Masai Mara plains are at an altitude of 1,500 metres.

Kilima Camp Mara Accommodation

Kilima Camp Mara is a luxurious private tented camp comprising of twelve standard tents and two deluxe tents which can sleep up to five people. Each tent is complete with its own verandah and en-suite bathroom. The standard rooms contain large comfortable beds and can also accommodate a third person. The bathrooms are fitted with flush toilets, running water and a safari shower with hot water upon request. If need be a baby cot can also be included for those with toddlers. The deluxe tents sleep five persons – three adults and two children. They also contain a large wooden deck for guests to enjoy beautiful views of the area.There is a spacious central main safari tent (mess tent) where guests gather to eat, drink, talk, play games, read, or just enjoy the view before of after a safari in the Maasai Mara. Kilima Camp has two restaurants divided by a bar lounge with fantastic views of the Mara River and Mara plain. One of the restaurants has an inbuilt fire place where one can relax with a drink after dinner. Both restaurants cater for buffets.
